2017 & God's faithfulness has never failed us.
It's 2017 and God’s faithfulness has never failed us.Am dedicating this piece to a special woman of God. Beautiful Hazael in her mid- 40's blessed with 2 beautiful sons. Her journey starts out in one remote village in the Eastern Cape. Raised by her mother in what one would refer to as a difficult life is an understatement. As she gets deep into her interview she describes a few leaves tied up into one another as what used to be her bed, and how her mother would boil water for hours as they waited excited about this one meal that they had been waiting for since morning only to realize that it was trick to make them go to bed thinking that it was their fault having slept early before dinner was ready but in actual fact there was no food. as they waited. She describes how going to school with no underwear was normal.
Amazingly all that I just mentioned were not what she thought of as challenges in her life,as she clearly pointed out that her father leaving them in that kinda struggle was her only challenge. Eventually beautiful Hazael grows up and her season of discomfort begins, she then realizes that she wasn't supposed to stay there, granted she was supposed to start there but she is now challenged not to die in that poverty. Suddenly she realizes that the world out there is bigger and decides to leave her small village where all she had been surrounded by was hurt and struggle.
She decides to move to capetown where she meets this tall handsome man and they fell in love at first site. This reminds me of what Lisa once said" I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a few times in your life, if you were lucky, you would meet some one who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or you were, but because your of your combined flaws. Sadly, Hazael had no idea that her relationship was going to be a repeat of exactly what had happened to her back in that far away village.she got married to this man and the man left her to raise the two boys alone. Hazael did not give up, today she lives in one beautiful house happy with her two boys and praising God for turning her pain into great joy. Hazael had always dreamed about writing a book about her life and struggles, when she was asked about her plans to make her book a reality and once again Hazael’s response left me speechless as she proudly re-iterated that her book had already been written. Hazael Knew her why and that's how she was able find her way, she was faced with so much that could have broken her, but she kept God at the center of it all.
I believe that how u view God is how You'll do life. Don't settle for break even settle for break through. You are loved by God, known by God, called by God. John 15:16, you didn't not choose me But i chose u and appointed u. So forget your troubles and struggle and always remember that you were chosen by the living God. Philippians 3:12-14. Says that:"not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to take hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus." Hazael's story is once again an inspiration to me and I hope it will have a significant impact to you too. Am so privileged to have had an opportunity to write this amazing woman's story and I will end off with these words, Paul writing and saying for me to live is Christ. I pray that you never forget God's faithfulness.
